Fair point. I'll put my pitchfork down. Still pisses me off that the club go out if their way to employ people with no allegiance to our support. As for her job performance over the years its good to know that she has responded to reasonable requests but there have also been plenty of legitimate complaints about ticketing too.

Re: Its not all good news
The timing is really bad if the club have not offered Luke an alternative means to access tickets. It comes across as heartless and football would have played such an important part in a father and sons relationship.

Having said that, I do not agree with organised witch hunts trying to get people sacked. Nicola Keye has been head of ticketing for several years and my dealings with her have been positive and judging by other responses on this thread mine is not a unique experience. This would not seem to be her finest hour, if the decision was hers, but let's take the heat of the emotion out of it.

The hard truth is most of the restrictions that have been put in place by the club are as a result of so called West Ham fans taking the piss.

There was nothing wrong with the collection location in Lyon, it was close to both tram and metro lines from the old town. The club made it clear that photo ID was required and had to match the name on the voucher. Bearing in mind everyone would have had a passport to get into France what was the fucking problem?

I hope Hammers United can assist Luke but as I said I would not support any campaign to get people sacked.

So basically everything done to make things difficult for us.

Same as having to go to Eurexpo to get shuttle buses to ground.

Re: Its not all good news
She helped sort something out for me in very similar circumstances. It took a while for them to make a decision but when I put the explanation to her in writing they were sympathetic and she OKd my request after it was put to her by a more junior TO staff member.

I didn't go to Lyon but have been to other Euro aways this season and felt the ticket collection process was managed fairly well. Zagreb was a bit chaotic but it still worked.

Chav - interested to know issues re collecting tickets. My own view is that the location could have been closer to the city centre.

Re: Its not all good news
There isn’t even a business case for not letting him have the option of buying it at the full rate as that is what they would get if they deny him the opportunity to keep it and give it to the next person in the queue.

She’s making a cold hearted decision for her own reasons because she has zero affinity for our support or our club. Granted that won’t get her removed because her boss Brady has zero affinity for our support or our club.

Disgusting treatment. A bit of discretion/human kindness wouldn’t ave gone amiss.
As said it’s ultimately all the three stooges doing. Hope he gets it reinstated (and more!)

Never had a problem with Nicola Keye, always helpful to myself and my son. If any of you think she’ll be sacked, you’ve got a long wait. As long as Brady is at the club, she’s going nowhere. Brady brought her to the club, they’re best mates.

Very sad, hope it gets sorted, don't suppose we can help? But let us know if we can.

Re: Its not all good news
Horrible horrible story if there is any justice whatsoever the lad will have his ticket reinstated.

Actions like this are simply not acceptable.
While Moyes, his staff and the players are doing us incredibly proud by and large off the field the club is toxic.

From Sullivan Gold and Brady down ,rotten to the core they all need to just go.

Massive pat on the back to anyone who can help Luke get his ticket reinstated,it is simply the right action for the club to take.

This ex Villa women should report the special case circumstances to her superiors. That's her job and should be reprimanded if not doing so and damaging the reputation of the club. Good luck with this, I don't think this will or should rest until sorted.

If you give me Luke's surname I maybe be able to sort this.

Re: Its not all good news
Part of the value of a business contains an element of "Goodwill" - it certainly was in the valuation of my business when it was sold. It's almost impossible to monetize even if it supports a global brand (Like MacDonald's or Coca Cola), so some practices simply disregard it.

It may be that a business decision has been made where the owners have decided that including a "Goodwill practice" is a loss and not a profit-centric activity.

Given how public facing the company is, I would find such a decision rather hard to believe (assuming the public and not the media companies are the dominant customer/revenue base).

I'd rather hope that this can be cleared up as an over-zealous un-ticking of boxes by a junior employee who was somewhat distracted by recent events.

Re: Its not all good news
I mean on the one hand the club is run as a business and not on an emotional level, but it would be nice to have a policy in place for these situations that would essentially be a thank-you to loyal supporters and those who cared for them, as some kind of support when times are otherwise hard.

nychammer 8:21 Fri Apr 15
Re: Its not all good news
he should at least have been able to see this season out FFS, what is wrong with the club?

Jim C 8:07 Fri Apr 15
Re: Its not all good news
Let's be brutally honest here. West Ham don't really care who buys the ticket, as long as someone does. That is not exclusive to West Ham, but all clubs.

Hope this gets sorted as loyal fans deserve better.
